A craftsmanship since 1857: walnut oil & VIRGIN hazelnut
Last active mill in the Vern valley, when there were 31 in the 18th century, it is a place steeped in history. During the visit, you will be able to discover the traditional methods of manufacturing walnut and virgin hazelnut oils thanks to an unchanged manufacturing process and in accordance with the traditions of Périgord. If know-how is essential to produce a quality oil, a demanding selection of raw materials is even more so. Paul, Christine and their team present you with ancestral know-how through a fun tour suitable for everyone.
VEYSSIÈRE MILL
Count 2 hours on site to visit all the spaces dedicated to the manufacture of oil. From the orchard to the mill, you will learn all the steps to produce an exceptional oil. Leave with a souvenir through the gourmet shop.

The Mill
A guided tour of the mill at the heart of production, which will show you how it works, as well as the different stages of oil production (walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds). At the end of the visit a tasting of the products is offered to you.
Opening hours Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
July / August : Opening hours Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tour departure every 30 minutes → Morning: first tour departure at 9:30 a.m., last tour departure at 12 p.m. → Afternoon: first tour departure at 2 p.m., last tour departure at 5:30 p.m.

The gourmet shop
Discover our gourmet shop located in the former Moulin bakery. As an integral part of the visit, it will reveal the bread oven from 1902! You will find our oils and flours as well as a selection of local and artisanal products.
The museum
While waiting for the next departure of the visit, or after it, discover the museum space. During a free visit, browse the museum which will present the history of the mill and the Elias family, the cultivation of walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds, in the world, the manufacture of oils, as well as their benefits and their uses. .
The educational orchard
Walk through the heart of the educational orchard and discover different varieties of walnut, hazelnut and almond trees from France and elsewhere. A visit at your own pace, rich in information, which will allow you to soak up the atmosphere of the place and discover its biodiversity.
Picnic area
A shaded picnic area along the canal is also available for free.
